How TK Homes Can Help With Out-of-State

Many people may not know that at TK Homes we have the ability to help people buy or sell out of state. I have helped clients in St. George, Utah, Seattle, Washington, Cleveland, Ohio, and McCall, Idaho. How can we do this and do it well? Let me explain.

As REALTORS®, we are constantly networking and attend multiple events with agents from out of state. For example, one I have attended with lots of out-of-state agents was Ninja Selling. At that type of event, there are many agents from all across the U.S. Attending these types of events is the easiest way to form relationships with agents in other towns.

If I don’t happen to know an agent in the town in which someone wants to buy or sell, I research at least three agents online (usually more) and study their reviews. I will only call agents that have good reviews. Because I am part of Keller Williams, which is an international organization, I usually start by researching Keller Williams agents in the area of need. Sometimes, I will call the market center in the area and talk to the team leader to see if they would recommend a certain agent. I may also look at other agents even if they aren’t with Keller Williams. It just depends on the situation.

Once I have my three names that look great on paper, I call each to see if they meet the high standard of service I expect for my clients. It can get more specific, but in general, I am looking for the following: an agent with good reviews, as I mentioned previously, one who answers their phone or calls me back quickly, a good communicator, someone with experience, who asks good questions regarding the needs of the client, someone who knows the area well and much more.  After talking with multiple agents, and if I like what I am hearing, I ask them for multiple references to call. Of course, then the next step is calling those references. Once I have my number 1 and 2, I give that information to the client and let them make the final decision on who they feel would be the best fit. Once an agent is decided upon, I will ask for updates along the way to see how things are going with the transaction.

He said we are like agents without borders. I thought that was such a good analogy, and it explains what I am describing really well.
