The tradition of setting off fireworks on July 4^th began in Philadelphia on July 4, 1777. This was the first organized celebration of Independence Day. Today, there are many places to see fireworks in the Denver metro area on the Fourth of July. The Denver fireworks will be on Sunday, July 3^rd at the Civic Center, and the fireworks will begin around 9:15 pm. There will be live music from the Colorado Symphony as well other local artists.
